What the !@#$ ??!

I think I should stop looking at news from now on. Today I saw this news article from The Hindu. The Sri Ram Sena leader openly says that they are going to forcibly marry couples who date on Valentine's day! And what does the Home Minister of the state say? Let them do such a thing, and then law will be enforced! WOW!! What an extremely responsible answer! It makes me wonder who is worse - the minister or the leader?

Apparently the police have taken the threat seriously - which probably means, they will speculate about taking these activists into preventive custody, but decide against it. Probably, there will be more violence committed by the "upholders of Indian Culture". Once all the damage is done, the police will probably arrest them, only to let them go out in bail a few days later!

I guess I'm just working myself up too much on this issue and over-reacting. Probably I should just live with it and not do anything about it like a normal middle class Indian is supposed to. Or at the most, sit in the comfort of my couch and write a blog about it!!

  1. there there... u r not over reacting...

And Machan what do you want to do more than writing a blog on this... shall we send this blog address to NDTV, TIMES NOW, CNN IBN... ;)

This is the time the so called representatives of people in the Legislative assembly and parliament to react... as a common man you or me can't do much… other than writing like this i guess...

Or shall we try a radical change just like Captain Vijaykanth kallala solti solti adikalam or Sarathkumar in "goAYYA"... Pesi thiruthalama indha makkalla... Illa Super star madiri we will hire gundas and office room... Best Mardalo..!!! in RANG DE BASANTI style... You just drive the gladiator and I will shoot... then let the law take its own course... Anyways my appa is working in All India Radio... I will ask him to arrange for an interview after the killings... ;) A generation awakens...!!!

The comment that I posted in your previous article which is relevant to this thread...

Today I wanted to be really early to office to complete the overloaded work. And I am very much in office by 7:45 to begin my routine but more than the work now what seems to be important to me is this (writing in your blog).

I was really happy when I got up today morning after watching India winning the match yesterday with ease. Got up early took the pain to go down and get a news paper before others could take it, so that I get to read every article on India's win. But ultimately ended up closing the news paper after reading the article in the FrontPage which totally changed my mood and actually put me back into the way as I was during the reservation issue. The article was on "SRIRAM SENA" and their plans for the romantic dating on Valentine’s Day...!!!

Sriram Sena Says as I quote "Our Organization will be hiring lot of priests and will be getting mangal sutra for this Valentines Day. Our members across the state on seeing any couple dating on Valentine's Day will take them to the nearest temple and forcibly marry them. If the couple does not accept for the same, the girl will be forced to tie a rakhi to the guy." I don't remember in the nearest and longest past reading such an absurd statement in my life.

Government's Response for the same "Let them commit something like that then Law will take its own course..."???????????

I also don't remember reading such a response from the government for any issue. I am probably planning to go and forcibly marry the minister's daughter who said this... then let law take its own course... but of course, how it is going to be for me having the minister daughter as my wife is a big question... I will decide on that after seeing that girl... if I m not ok with marrying her daughter, and then probably do something else that is possible in that situation and then I will let law take its own course.

What the hell!!! What is their problem and why the hell is the government like this...???

I wish I get a time machine to take these idiots to the Stone Age and dump these idiots there. How is this ruining our culture? Who said Hinduism says that there are different ways of living according to the sex of a person? Isn’t this just an expression of love? Who are these people to say that you cannot express your love? Even if it is running the culture who are these as***** to say that? What rights do they have to enter into the life of others? Why don’t they allow people to live their life the way they want?

En da ippadi…??? Anything with the name “SRIRAM” always remains controversial I guess... including the “Lord SRIRAM” who made his wife Sita to do Agni Pariksha...!!!

SRIRAMANAI POLA IRRUKU VENDUM ENDRU SOLVADHUNDU…
AANAL RAVANARAGAL THANNAI RAMAN ENDRU ENNINAL
EN SEIVAN RAMA… Nenjam Porukudhillaiye Indha Nilai Ketta Mandharai Ninaindhuvital......... :(

P.S. I was more interested in the second part of your posting may be because I haven’t seen that movie yet. If I get an opportunity to watch the movie I will try and comment on that too.

@ Madhu and VS: I don't agree with the point that BJP is not answerable after reading this article and the minister's response

  3. @ karthikeyamurthy : First of all - if your comment exceeds the length of my blog, then I will delete it! ;-)

Anyways, regarding the disagreement with me on BJP not being answerable, what I meant was, BJP is not answerable for every act committed by a self-proclaimed Hindu organization. Yes, I agree that BJP is answerable as the ruling party of the state and in that respect, the Home minister's statement was irresponsible. But, what I was trying to say earlier was that, BJP is not responsible for acts committed by some idiotic outfit.

  4. i m not able to control myself on seeing what is happening in karnataka...

    what the ****?

what is happening to the people in this country? and bloody politicians... another attack on a CPM MLA's daughter... Dunno who did it... but what is this ******* thing on moral policing... and the blame game has started... congress blaming BJP... BJP blaming JD...JD blaming congress... whats all this nonsense... and the BJP government calls this as a minor incident...!!! and the guy is a muslim... i hope some muslim organisation doesn start something in reply to this... all these organization what do they think of themselves... they think they are the saviours of hinduism or what?? have they ever read what is given in gita...??? do they really know what our vedams and puranams say...??? can we do something productive rather than showing our protests through strikes and rallies which would affect the normal people... you cant the students protesting in karnataka... organize an attack on this sriram sena and its members... seriously feel like shooting all of them in rang de basanti style... though i know for a fact thats all these are not the solution...

The solution can come only from the so called representatives of people. But that when that remains impossible, what could be done remains as a big question mark?

    @VS: sorry can't help it...

  5. You know what...I think they just want attention - and we're giving them that...

  6. @ madhu: Yeah i totally agree.. that they are looking for attention... and we are giving them that... but my point of concern is not that... ultimately it is normal people who gets affected... and who are they to decide on what others should do...??? its upto every person to decide what he/she wants to do na...?? My point is government should punish them ruthlessly... but govt is not doing it and thats were i m getting pissed....
